Savoi Plantation is situated  in a small village of Savoi in the cool valley of Ponda in Goa.

Savoi Plantation is about 200 years old  surrounded with fresh water pond.It is owned by the Shetye Families,Mr Shasikant Shetye,Mrs Shalan Shetye and Mr Mohan Shetye.Maintained and managed by their sons Mr Sachin Shetye and Mr Sudesh Shetye.Sachin and Sudesh Shetye are always engrossed with the maintenance of the plantation and make sure that every corner of the plantation gets  proper attention

The Plantation is divided into two parts Wet land and Dry land crops.


Dry land Crops:-Jackfruits


Dry land crops will be comprising of Timber trees,Traditional medicinal plants,Mangoes,
Pineapples,Local peppers, Cashew trees,
Jackfruits,Bamboo bushes etc.

Wet land crops will comprise of spices, Betelnuts,Coconuts,Banana,Papaya,Chickoo,
Variety of local flowers,Love apple etc.

The Plantation was opened for visitors in 1986.The first visitors to visit the plantation were tourists from Fort Augada Beach Resort.A walk in the plantation with a local person briefing you about the nature (crops,roots,herbs and spices).One can also see the rural setting of interior Goan traditional methods of Organic Farming
